About Us
The Hire Intern Program is the IT training and internship division of WISH Vancouver Recruit. We created this program in 2006 to meet the demand for internships from New Canadians.
Numerous reports have shown that New Canadians face higher levels of poverty, unemployment and underemployment than other citizens. We have annecdotal evidence of skilled and experienced IT professionals working as butchers, or convenience store clerks. We want to change that.
We have dedicated staff in Vancouver, Toronto and overseas, working on training , internship placement, and job placement for New Canadians. Here are some of our staff:

Dale Lee - President
Dale's family came to Canada in the 80's. He grew up here and went to school in the Lower Mainland. After studying at UBC, he went on to work for a string of HR and recruitment companies, before founding his own - WISH Vancouver. |

Robert Jago - Program Director
Robert was born and raised in the Lower Mainland. He studied at SFU and has worked in HR and recruitment for nearly 5 years. He specializes in IT placements and in the management of this program. |

Kristina Mack - Hire Intern Instructor | Internship Advisor
Kristina comes from Germany, where she studied business and informatics. Kristina has several years experience in corporate Germany and has come to Canada to start a new life. She has a unique insight into immigrant issues. |
